What makes your socks special?
Our socks are made of cozy, warm wool, fit your feet perfectly, and keep them reliably warm - without getting smelly. You'll be hard-pressed to find better socks 😊
How do I wash your products?
As a general rule, our wool products should be washed less often, since simply airing them out is often enough.
We have complied more information on washing in the care Instructions .
What is the difference between camel wool, yak wool, and sheep's wool?
Different animals produce different types of wool. Sheep, camel, and yak wool differ in the fineness and length of their individual hairs.
Yak wool has the finest and longest fibers. You can recognize it by its fine, almost cashmere-like feel, which makes yak wool products our favorite cozy companions.
Camel wool falls between yak and sheep wool in terms of fiber thickness - and camels are simply the coolest animals.
Sheep wool is characterized by thick fibers, which give it a durability that makes sheep wool socks particularly versatile.
Only white wool can be dyed at all - which is why we only offer colorful sheep’s wool socks. The beige-brown camel wool products and the light gray-dark brown yak wool products, on the other hand, are available only in their beautiful natural colors.
How durable are your socks?
Wool is a natural product and is therefore more susceptible to friction than, for example, synthetic fibers. As a general rule, the finer the wool and the greater the friction, the faster holes will form. While sheep’s wool products are comparatively durable, yak wool is the finest of our wool types and therefore also the most sensitive to friction.
Before wearing them, it’s best to read the recommended uses for the socks on the respective product page.
To make our sheep and camel wool socks more durable, we blend the fibers with viscose made from bamboo and abrasion-resistant nylon.
A quick tip: Wear thin cotton sneaker socks underneath your socks. This way, the socks last longer and need to be washed less often - airing them out is usually enough.

Why wool from Mongolia?
Yak and camel wool are among the most precious types of wool in the world. Because yaks and camels require a specific climate and vast grazing lands, there are only a few places where they can be raised in a manner appropriate to their species. One of these places is Mongolia, where they roam the vast expanses of the steppe without being confined by fences. For generations, animals and nomads have lived in harmony there, ensuring each other’s livelihoods. Yet for many nomads, the harsh but varied life on the steppe is no longer profitable enough, and they are increasingly abandoning this traditional form of livestock farming.
Our goal is to restore the reputation and popularity of this unique Mongolian wool and, in doing so, support the species-appropriate care of the animals, the continued existence of the nomadic way of life, and the Mongolian economy. That is why it is important to us that, from the harvesting of the wool to the manufacturing of the products, nomads and producers are paid fairly and that the entire value chain remains in Mongolia.
